On the Search for a Summer Program

Lately I been searching for summer medical programs that pay a stipend and supply housing. I not having too much luck :( I know they are out there, but I'm not really interested in just being in the lab. I want to do clinical side more than anything. I'll do the research if I get to do clinical research. My main interest is surgery, and I do not want to be an MD/PhD because I want to interact with patients more and medical scientists work 20 % clinical and 80% research. I'm not against doing this type of work for a summer program...but I really want to find one that is more clinical.

Going to work for Disney....

So I'm supposed to be starting work at the Disney store today.. I'm really not sure about this job yet. I've just been so anxious to start, and now when I get notice that I need to start today I feel like the laziest person ever. I want to make money, but right now I feel like not doing anything. I'm trying not to dread this at all because it's just going to make my experience worse. On the other hand I did great in my classes for this semester's midterms :) I'm still working on my DAT practice but very slowly :( It's the best I can do since I'm taking a full load of classes this semester.

Well im back at it!

Ummm you can now whoop my ass for not posting since 2012! Lol. So much has happened of course. I graduated with my Bachelor's in Biology in 2013. I taught Biology lab for a year at PV while I decided which life path I wanted to take. I found that. I'm going into my second semester at the American College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Houston,TX to get my degree in acupunture. My boyfriend Devin and I moved in with each other in 2013. He is now a computer scientist and I'm very proud of what is he doing. I work at a chemical plant in Houston as a lab tech during the day while I go to school at night. Im so ready to quit my day job it's not even funny! Let's just say I have many irons in the fire and some of them are warm. 😂😂😂😂 I'm now advising my Undergraduate Chapter at PVAMU which I love.
