I Have Sisterlocks :)


On Sunday, July, 19 th, 2015 my Sisterlocks journey began. I have been waiting to get them for about 3 years. I hassled with the idea many times, and I am happy to say that I went through with it. I am free from gels, combs, brushes, flat afros...etc!! 😂😂I have included a video showing them and pictures with my loose natural as well.

Week Three of the Loc Journey

So today I cleansed my hair even though my loctician told me not to wash for like 4 months....ummm couldnt wait that long. so this is what I did.I followed this video by Chescalocs  on YouTube. It was a pretty awesome cleanse. Because I couldn't take not washing my hair that long and I was starting to get dandruff build up which is a NO NO!! I did ask her if I could use it as a shampoo replacement and she said no because it will dry the hair too much. So I will just stick to once a month at most.  I did section my hair into rubberbands so my baby locs wouldn't come un done. BEFORE AFTER washing I'll show what it looks like after I take the bands down and twist my roots on tomorrow..I hope I remember to blog *crosses fingers*

My New Hair Journey!

So for a couple of months I had been considering locking my hair. I went half crazy looking at youtube videos, blogs and even dreadlocking forums. I really wanted to  sisterlock  my hair but I found out that doing so would be very expensive and timely. So people were charging 600 just to start with 3-4 inches of hair. I have like 9-10 inches of hair. Also the upkeep would take hours and some of the locticians would charge 20  dollars per hour. humppp I wasn't into paying that. So I researched it more and decided against palm rolling as a start since it is hard to keep it twisted when I wash it. I chose to interlock my hair which is similar to sisterlocking. The point is to use a tool to lock the hair. There are many videos on youtube that explain this. Going to work for Disney....

So I'm supposed to be starting work at the Disney store today.. I'm really not sure about this job yet. I've just been so anxious to start, and now when I get notice that I need to start today I feel like the laziest person ever. I want to make money, but right now I feel like not doing anything. I'm trying not to dread this at all because it's just going to make my experience worse. On the other hand I did great in my classes for this semester's midterms :) I'm still working on my DAT practice but very slowly :( It's the best I can do since I'm taking a full load of classes this semester.
